At the Château de Mazan, we are focused on the very essence of our profession: Welcoming, welcoming, and still more so!
A family business and completely independent, our foremost wish is that you “feel at home”: You will feel like the distinguished guests of a kind hearted and generous friend. The aim of your stay with us will thus be attained: you can relax, escape or live the life of lord of the manor , a pleasure seeking man of leisure.
But by what visible or invisible means can we achieve this?
Firstly, we have maintained the essential: anything that could be preserved or restored in the chateau has been: the 19th century tiled floors, the imposing staircase, the Franck brothers’ creation from the Enlightenment, the divine Marquis’ library, the old Provencal casement windows, the Empire chimney…
Then during the month before opening, we scoured for antique objets and furniture all over southern Europe. Our chateau, despite its sheer immensity, had to be a warm and welcoming place. You must have the feeling you are staying in a sumptuous, private home. We have also redesigned the gardens and dug a stone pool in natural colours.

Lastly, we realised the most important factor: to recruit and hire men and women equally passionate about this immense residence. We share a common vision, perhaps a little old-fashioned, of a “homely” hotel: where the words “Old-style, traditional Hotel” is not solely a marketing pitch, where availability and a smile are not slogans, where the words “stilted” and “pretentious” are unheard of. The professionals in a 4-star catering business with gourmet food are the people who have breathed life into this project, placing their competencies and know-how at your service: but above all, by fully adhering to our philosophy:
